The data.europa.eu (formerly European Data Portal) team hosted the webinar "The Open Data Rural Gap" to discuss:

1. Research into the availability of rural open data and its supply across Europe; and

2. Practical examples and insights into how rural open data is used to overcome the open data rural gap.

This video is part 2 of 3 of the webinar. In this section, we deep dive into insights on how rural open data is used in practice to overcome the open data rural gap. In addition, there is a discussion on how COVID-19 has impacted agricultural open data and that if more open data from rural areas could have helped in mitigating the spread of the pandemic in Europe. Moreover, insights will be shared on how open government data from rural areas can help to shape communities and be used to benchmark development in different areas.
