The Digital Education Hackathon (DigiEduHack) is a grassroots movement that aims to foster innovation, collaboration and creativity and to drive positive change in digital education. It provides solutions to existing and future challenges in digital education. DigiEduHack is an initiative of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027 of the European Commission.

In 2023, the initiative aims to involve 75 hosting organisations and 2,500 participants across 55 events in Europe and around the world. Led by Consortium partners Cecoforma, Ultrahack, CARSA, Tallinn University, Aalto University, and Educraftor, in close cooperation with the Commission's Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC), the next three editions of DigiEduHack (2023-2025) were redesigned to be more ambitious and inclusive and continuously engaging the community of digital education innovators.

This year's hackathons will take place between 6 and 13 of November. Local hackathon events must have a total duration of 24 hours but can span, for example, 2 days of 12 hours each within the 8-day period. Each host's hackathon can be held in whatever format the host prefers (online, onsite, blended, or "hybrid" of online and onsite formats). Hosts will be onboarded and provided with instructional materials and support throughout the planning and execution of their events.
